The Sunningdale have been hosts to school educational visits for over 25 years, with around 26 schools visiting us each year between the months of February and November.
We offer private, safe and comfortable accommodation for up to 60 children plus teaching staff, as well as excellent nutritionally balanced evening meals, packed lunches and breakfasts.
Our communal areas have seating and tables which are suitable for activities such as project work or games and the area can easily be adapted to allow you to host a disco or similar activity.
In Bamburgh we are situated just 5 minutes walk from the large village green, suitable for rounders and similar activities, with the beach and castle just a further 2 minute walk.
Popular activities include beach and rock pool exploration, a castle tour, village exploration of the Grace Darling Museum and the village Church, sand dune walking, Farne island boat trips and Holy Island exploration to name but a few.

Bookings are made up to 2 years in advance for peak times, with most schools returning year after year so it can prove difficult to get specific dates, however if you would like to receive further information and prices please complete the school enquiry form to receive a brochure.

For those schools looking to take advantage of Autumn / Winter educational visits we are currently putting together a superb package for November and February 3 day breaks. These winter breaks cannot always guarantee weather for beach games, however the beach is superb throughout the winter and there are many indoor activites available should you not wish to brave potentially chilly weather.
